    Huge 8

Congrats on a very nice buck, and I agree, he'll look great on the wall. Gundog, please don't stir the pot on this one. I just came from the trailcam forum, and people were posting their bucks in response to a question about age and size. I think it's good for perspective.

    New World Record Buck Taken?

Buckkiller, your question was legit enough. One thing you'll notice is that when the deer seasons end, the members tend to get a bit (sometimes a lot) grumpy. Welcome to the site - you'll enjoy it.

Guess I won't be drinking Starbucks anymore!

I bit on a couple of these internet 'facts' early on, and learned my lesson. Snopes.com is a great place to check out any internet rumor. Just type in something like 'Starbucks' and 'troops', and you can find this one on the site. They do a great job on this site of giving the age and history of...

Guess I won't be drinking Starbucks anymore!

I think you'll be back to Starbucks soon - check out the following link: http://www.snopes.com/politics/military/starbucks.asp This is a derivative of an internet rumor that started back in 2004.

Fri Nite @ Wildwood Hills Ranch

Thanks for the nice comments. However, I am feeling kind of awkward with that, and want to clarify why we put this post out. We REALLY don't want it to sound self-congratulating. In fact, it took a minor miracle (and some blackmail) for Randy and Mike to allow themselves to be publicly...

Fri Nite @ Wildwood Hills Ranch

Ironwood, Elkhunter, Camokid and Camoman - archery's expanded version of the Three Stooges . It was a fun evening with the kids. During the summer, this ranch hosts nine weeks of camps - the majority of which are spent with at-risk kids who are able to come because of the generosity of...

Trent (6 yrs) takes his 1st deer!!!

Congrats to Team Bowman. You've now got a hunting addict who has a lot of deer and turkey hunts in his future. Great job !

    PLEASE READ ME

Thanks from me also, Critr. This is a fantastic hunting site, and I really enjoy the variety of comments, stories, opinions, and ideas that are shared here. However, it is real discouraging to see good people jump into comments and name-calling that they wouldn't have the oysters to do...

Cool photo . . . but it just doesn't seem right to have our national bird eating at a scrap pile.

    Got One

You will really like the thumbhole grip. I have a TC Omega with that grip, and I feel that I'm much steadier on my shots, now. Have some fun with it !

    Late Muzzleloader Buck

    WILD

I remember reading that article. They had to put the bull down, because of the amount of stress he had endured. The meat was donated to some agency.

Moose, I made the switch back to 777 powder, and decided to try the 250 grain Shockwave bullets. I took a couple shots at 50 yards, moved to 100 yards, and now have it printing about 2 1/2 inches high at that distance. Bullets grouped well, shooting off of sandbags. Hoping to get some good field...

I'm not a marksman . . . but I am a thinker. And, I thought about that a bit more, and decided to go ahead and switch back to 777. I'll have time to get dialed in before this weekend. In looking back, I have had a couple occasions this year in damp weather where we seemed to have problems. So...

Interesting review - thanks for sharing it. I have used it for 2 years now, without any problems. It seems to shoot and group well with our Knight and Thompson Center guns. Given that info in the article, I may try 777 again when this last jar is empty. Thanks !

Interesting - I haven't seen anyone mention the American Pioneer powder. I shoot the Jim Shockey Gold powder,(loose, not the sticks) and really like it. It cleans up even easier than the 777 does. Any of you guys using this ?

    Des Moines New World Record

Guys, this post really needs to come to a close. Not because of censorship, but because of common sense. One person has managed to yank your strings, and you just keep it going. T250, like I said to you earlier, you are probably a pretty decent guy, and I do believe that you have a great...
