It would shock me if this was a 2.5 year old deer. This may be a healthy 2.5 year old deer in Iowa, but our deer in Oklahoma don't have the bodies that Iowa deer do, and this guy is quite a bit bigger than some of the other bucks I'm getting on camera. Hopefully, he'll give me a closer look.

I had a new buck show up this week, and I really can't tell what he is. He's got a big body, and his back looks swayed somewhat, but that might just be the angle of the picture. It looks like he's got good tine length, but not a whole lot of mass. What do you think?

I think this is probably the result of an injury. You can tell that something happened to his main beam on that side. Here's another picture that shows a different angle. He'd sure be hard for me to pass.
