The thing I like about Mathews warranty is if my bow falls out of the stand and cracks a limb or the riser thats covered for replacment under warranty. Not sure If Elite has that or not but its nice to have in the back of your mind while your in the field incase something were to happen

Never had a problem with automatics during cold. Always oil and clean guns prior to the season. Another thing we do is try not to put our guns inside the truck in between deer drives especially during below freezing temps. That way the guns dont condensate inside the case and then freeze in the cold
