Been slow again in SE IA. Yesterday i watched a 150 chase a doe across cut beans. Hung a stand where he came out so hopefully it pays off. Not the first time ive seen big bucks come out from this spot either.. Fingers crossed for tomorrow! Good luck everyone

The first deer i ever killed, i made a similar shot to that. I got lucky and hit the artery and she sprayed blood all the way to the end. Congrats on the buck!

Drivin to school this morning I seen a tall tightrack 8 pt. chasin a doe through a cut bean field. Funny part was my buddy was bowhunting the timber 300 yrds south of where the buck was chasin. Im in cedar county IA about 30 miles west of Iowa City

My shooting is fine, im shooting 3 arrows in a 5 inch group, I shot a friends bow, same setup, only had a drop away and at 30 yards i was shooting 3 arrows, about 3 inch group. Also, im not buying a new bow because it will change my shooting, i just wanna switch to hoyt because i like them...

If your seeing deer, I would keep it going. I find 9/10 hunts, its almost impossible not to bust at least a couple deer walking to the stand

The ears r too short for a deer. Also look at the fur, it sort of stands up on the back of its neck. Plus, ive nvr seen a doe with whiskers above her eye. I would guess mt. Lion

I either shoot a remington 12 guage 11-87 with a scope and winchester 3" slugs, or a remington 16 guage with remington sluggers. Depending if im walking, blocking, timber, or field. Both combinations kill deer and have served me well :)
