So with everyone thinking about treestands lately, I started thinking what would be the perfect treestand design be if I could make one. I like the cast platforms, mellennium seats.
Through out your ideas for any stands.
I'm 36 and still doing this. I don't even hang many if any stands on the private I can hunt, due to others hunting it at certain times. I had to learn to allow my self more time than I think I need and to dress very light on the way in. If I start feeling warm I stop and cool off. I've had some...
Nice setup. I like the pain job also. I am cutting down on the number of stands that I am keeping around, down to three. One Lone Wold and two innovative leveler stands. am thinking of using one of the levelers to put in a spot that I want permanently setup for the season and the other two to...
6.5'. I just got a new '16 F150 at work and I am not sure how I am going to fit everything in it with the 6.5'. It has a tool box and that takes up most of the space in front of the wheel wells. The new deep boxes also only leave you with about 5 inches underneath. I am also going to go ahead...
Should hold deer. Find the thick areas on the "ridges". They may only be a few inches or a foot higher than the rest of the land. They will bed and travel there more than likely. Get a canoe so you can get in there if it wet enough. I would guess deer will hide out there is pressured by the...

I would do away with the tree tubes, unless you can clean them out (twice a year), re-stake them and keep the raccoon from tearing them up. You would have better luck burning the site down so that broad leaf weeds can hide the trees from the deer. Once the trees are bigger you can protect them...
I haven't used any of their gear, but it looks like it would work. I know a lot of Western guys really like the stuff. I like the ASAT and the new pattern that FL came out with (can't remember the name). As a bonus, they donate part of their sales to conservation and public land management.
Has anyone ever used a Postal Money Order for purchasing stuff from another individual? I would be the one receiving the money order. Do you cash it at the Post Office? Thanks.
RC Grass is just one of those issues that you have to deal with, constantly. Like was said above shading areas out is the best way to get rid of it. So you would want to get fast growing species in there and let them take over. f you are in a true flood plain with high water tables species...
