    Just for off season discussion

I have been thinking lately about all the setups that I have, and if I really need all these stands and have to store them during the of season. So this got me thinking. You can have only one setup, to hunt from for any locations that you think you might encounter. Personally I have a...

    seedling planting productivity

Soil condition and type does play a factor. Chose the right species for the soil type and the location that you are planting on. You should be able to find a soil map online or at your NRCS office. In the tables, it should list best species to plant based on soil type.

    seedling planting productivity

I would guess that 500 trees is optimistic. I would say it would be more like 2-300 a day. With a dibble bar you may be able to get 500 in a day, but your survival rate will be much higher if you were to use a shovel. The issue with a dibble bar is that you are going to get an air pocket around...

    Reed Canarygrass

Late season application of Glyphosate will knock it back, eventually the residual dead plants will prevent new plants from sprouting.

    DSD Turkey Decoys

I have a DSD Jake Half Strut decoy and an upright Hen decoy that I am willing to sell. Both are the older hard plastic style. The Jake's head was broken off and I re-glued it back on. DSD says that they will fix damaged decoys, I just never took the time to send it in. I have used the Jake after...

Best place to buy Dave Smith decoys???

Are you interested in the older ones that are hard plastic? I have a a jake and upright hen I will sell. PM me for more info. I like the half strut jake. I have had several toms run in after it when t was paired with the hen. I think it really gets them territorial, especially since it is a...

Sf 2026 CCW and deer hunting

Personally I believe that not being able to carry while bow hunting is an infringement. The 2 Amnd. does not restrict the right of when you can or can not carry. If you have a CCW permit, you have proven that you are capable of following laws and are of sound mind. f someone is going to poach...

    Estes park

I am out in the Estes Park area quite a bit, I have family in Fort Collins. Get up and go into the park early. The crowds will be a lot smaller, and you should beat the motorcycle groups and RVs trying to make it over the pass. I personally like the West side of the mountains, Grand Lake side...
