    Should I clean Muzzleloader?

BH 209 is suppose to be measured by volume, not weight. It gives you the Volumetric equivalent to black powder on the container. I read either on Iowa Whitetail or another hunting forum were they weighed charges by volume then weighed them in grains. There is a big difference. Just don't want to...

    More blinds

I am thinking of placing them more in the timber are known travel corridors, mast trees, staging areas, etc. I am just looking for something that is going to be able to stand up better than a pop-up. Between high winds, snow loads and cattle I have had a few pop-ups destroyed over the years. At...

    More blinds

Since blinds seem to be a hot topic right now. Has anyone built their own blinds that are more along the lines of a pop up size? I would like to make a few that are hopefully somewhat cheaper, will stand up to the weather better, but are somewhat "easily" movable (can move with a small sled...

    Contractor

How many of you here are in need of a contractor to fulfill management plan work on properties? Who would be willing to pay for someone to do management work for hunting, food plots, hang stands, etc.? If you know of people in need of these services, other than yourself, chime in. I am...

    Mickey/Bunny Boots

Word of advice. Wear mid or light weight wool socks. This will let you feet breath and not become soaked. I also bought mine a size bigger to allow better circulation of air around my feet and blood to extremities. I hardly ever wear mine to or from a sit.

    Mickey/Bunny Boots

If you are up by Lansing there is a surplus store over in Wisconsin in DeSoto. They usually have them there. They cost a little more than getting them off of Sportmans Guide or Amazon, but you do not have to wait for them to ship.

Agree about certain bucks roaming. I personally do not want to push deer off the property. It is hunted with as little pressure as possible and I like for them to stay close as possible.

    Tree Protectors Remove Or Not?

Here are a few pics I went out and took. This cage is on a fruit tree, but is the same idea. The wooden cage is a planter that my neighbor made for tomato plants. If someone had the scrap lumber and the time I am guessing that these could be fairly cheap to make.

    Firearm seson

Does not really bother me. To each his own. I personally have had enough close calls in life that involved bullets coming at me. I understand the effectiveness of a drive.

The area that I am hunting has a large bedding area that the does stay in all year. There is hay and alfalfa near the bedding area. They did not get all the corn chiseled under. I am fairly certain that there are bucks worth hunting most seasons there, or at least coming to check for any...

    Conceal carry

.380 for summer, 9mm for spring/fall, .45 for winter. Decisions based on how easy it is to conceal with clothing worn and what clothing is going to be worn by someone if they are on the receiving end. Pick one that is comfortable to you though and that you can shoot well.

    Cabela's buy out rumor

Has anyone heard anything about this? I heard about it today. I guess Bass Pro is looking to buy them out. Did some searching, pretty much came up with that it is being looked at by both companies. Here is just one of the links...
