    Wounded- need help

May be a little late but would a good dog be an option? It sounds like the the territory is pretty thick but I've seen good dogs go through anything to stay on a trail. Keep us updated, best of luck

    Wounded- need help

Seems like a good amount of blood in the pics that you showed with good color. If your close I can lend a hand if needed if you want to PM me your general location. Best of luck and happy looking.

    Help me understand this

Agreed, you may also drop your pull weight down a bit to get better flight, not enough spine in the arrow...

I tried using my own piss

Good news is that it didn't bother them. I had a lot of movement on my cameras on the 18th as well...

    Rattling and Decoys

Agreed, light rattling peeks curiosity right now. Haven't had much luck with decoy setups in the early season over the years however.

    All Night

Not personnaly. The only thing that comes to mind is a story I read about a guy that watched a buck all summer and new exactly where he was bedding, supposebly everyday. I guess the deer was bedded down before sunlight every morning so the guy found a double tree and hung two stands at night...

Using your own urine in a scrape?

Trying it this year for the first time as well, 2 different areas with cams on both, we'll see...

5ft. or 10ft Hooyman Extendible Tree Saw?

I like the 5ft'er for packing with me in case of a "new" down limb but rely on my 20ft'er for hanging stands. The 10 is useless unless you are only going to by one, and I wouldn't think you could cut everything you would need.

Why you brush a blind in!!

I've noticed deer change there patterns when we've put blinds up and seem to stay at least 50 plus yards away from it. Of course, I don't leave them (pop up) up all year as they don't take the weather well. If you are going to blind hunt succesfully with archery gear, I believe it has to be a...

    Clearing field question

I've done the dog bark, as there is a lot of coyote hunting in my area but I've also carried pebbles in my pocket and thrown a few into the field. Both have worked and both have not worked. Best of luck...

    Larry Zach shot a giant

After speaking with Larry this last year and hearing his desire to only pursue mature bucks and not being concerned with antler size, I'm glad to see him sticking by that. To some, the life and story of the buck is WAY more important then some number attached to head gear. Congrats again...

    Iowa first timer

Prepare for some heat it looks like. The deer in south central are moving a little more at night than in the morning and seem to be in the corn a lot. The only spot I've seen a good buck was on a scrape line just after shooting light. JMO, I'm sure others may have different experiences...
