    85 gr. montec preseason

Saw some yesterday for 26.00 at the local archery shop. 26.00 for practice tips? I know the Rage's are expensive (37.00 a three pack) but at least they come with a practice haed. Wish everyone would do the same. I'd gladly pay a couple bucks more for a pack if they came with practice...

    Dialing in...

It's my firm belief that if you practice at longer distances it will make you much more accurate at hunting distances. It also helps with judging wind. I make it a habit of practicing on the windiest days to simulate hunting conditions and then some. I guess if you expect to hunt only on calm...

At 60 I'm roughly in an 18 inch diameter circle. 50=10inches. 40=5inches. 30=too close, start robin-hooding if i shoot at the same spot.

WB are JUNK! No argument will be recognized. lol! Do yourself a favor and get a Trophy Taker, they get the job done. Oh, and if you're worried about arrow containment, contact me. Got a gadget that does the trick and you get the best of both worlds, arrow containment and zero contact. No...

    NR tags exceed $500

I am no too surprised by this. Eastern and southern Iowa are flooded by non-res hunters. Even where I live (central Iowa) I see almost as many non-res hunters as locals certain times of the year (RUT!) This is Iowa DNR's way of not raising the Iowa resident hunting license fee and that will...

    Run From that Cougar

Pretty sure I'd run straight at it and make it think it's on my menu. Never seen a cat stick around when it's challenged. Bring it on.

    A sad question

If all of these things are yours and in no way in his name simply take them back from him and let him "borrow them" again when all of this is over. If they are registered in your name, they are technically still yours. Hope all goes as well as possible for him.

Crooked cops huh. Never heard of such a thing. Oh wait........

    Beman Straightness

Straightness is measured from tip to tip on arrow shafts. If the bends are on the end of the arrow, this will help, however if the bend is in the middle of the arrow it will change nothing to cut from both ends. On some arrows (CX for example) the end you cut from will effect spine stiffnes...

How many really hunt on Public Land????

A good time to hunt public land is very early in the archery season, but once you start seeing other hunters it's usually time to find another spot. Most of the places I go are worthless once early muzzle-loader starts. If you're crazy enough, the BEST time to hunt public land is when the...
