Sounds about right. It's just like opening weekend of pheasant season. People are out moving the deer around, your chances of taking one with a bow increase.

I couldn't agree more with these two statements. I think it's a dorsal vertibra hit. It shocks them enough to drop them in their tracks but, they shortly recover. IMO the buck will be fine.

Not true. In order to hunt shotgun season you must have a tag for that season. If you use your tag on a deer, you still have your reciept of the season and tag, and can legally hunt with someone else who still has an unfilled tag. You may not participate in any form of the hunt with out a...
