Fair chase is the key here. A bedded buck has every chance to elude you. A locked buck does not.
Here is another recent example of buck that if free'd would be fine IMO.

These types of topics keep forums alive. It's not a huge deal either way to me, because as SASKGUY said it boils down to what YOU feel is right. However, I see no harm in stating why you feel as you do.:way::way:
