IW Forum Picture Posting: An Illustrated Guide

We are welcoming new members to the IowaWhitetail.com family on a daily basis and one of the first things a new member often wonders is "How do I get pictures into my posts on the forum?" For those who have been around the site and learned how to do it, picture posting is "old hat." But for a...

    Moose on Powertrip

Snopes.com is always an excellent site to use when checking out the stuff you get on email. I've found that about 98% turns out to be an urban legend, but every once in awhile the stuff is legit. This is a case in point, I guess.

    Rabbit in Distress call recommendations

Thasnks for the input guys. I should have clarified that I'm looking for some sort of a hand-held mouth call that I can take with me while bowhunting to lure the yote into bowrange. Saw more coyotes during deer season this year than ever before and would like to take a whack at some next fall.

    Portable targets

[ QUOTE ] and it's cheaper than the block? [/ QUOTE ] I think the Yellow Jacket for broadhead runs about $40 which is quite a bit less than the block I bought. I should have just taken those three $20 bills and lit them on fire.

    Portable targets

I was shooting practice Montecs into my Block. I guess it was the "old style" Block becuase it isn't the 4x4. It got absolutely shredded from the Montecs and not there are soft spots all over the place that won't stop arrows.

    Practice broadheads

[ QUOTE ] Matt, Get yourself a yellow jacket target. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, that's been the consensus I've gathered from talking to folks. It about made me cry to see my Block destroyed after about half a dozen broadhead-shooting sessions. Darn those things are expensive!

    Practice broadheads

I bought a half dozen of the G5 Montec practice head and have been very pleased with them. They still shred a "Block" target, though.

    Weasel Hunting Tactics

I think Boone and Crockett is looking into footwear as a valid method of harvest. The way I see it, if you can get close enough to use a boot, that's Fair Chase!
