I live in Georgia and love to hunt Iowa but I think this is a horrible idea. What makes Iowa great is limiting NR pressure. All you have to do is look at Illinois and Kansas now compared to what they used to be.
Y’all need to fight this. Good luck with the fight.
I agree but we have the same issues in Georgia. My thoughts are, if you like your dogs, keep them where they’re supposed to be. If that’s a problem, then you’re the problem. Not the dogs.
How could they get upset if you caught their dogs on your property? Down here, no collar, it’s SSS.
Just shoot them high in the shoulder straight above the front leg. They will drop on the spot, legs will curl up, they may kick a few times, then they’re done.
It was weird in middle Georgia also. Have friends that hunted in Kansas that saw the same thing. Some other buddies own a fair amount in SE Nebraska and they only saw a few mature bucks while they were bow hunting. Very peculiar year no matter where you were hunting.

Next time that cold tries to creep in, just touch the button. You’ll...
I have a heated vest, heated coat, and a heated base layer and imo, you get the best bang for your buck with the base layers. It really warms your core being up against your skin. I also have heated socks. They’re nice as well. Put on some heated base layers and bundle up with some GWW clothes...
No expert but since it’s a respiratory disease I seriously doubt there’s any way to catch it from cuts, meat, dragging, etc.
If there’s any way to catch it from a deer, it would be getting some mucous on your hands then picking your nose or rubbing your eyes and I bet even that is very unlikely.
Call me a scaredy-cat but I have the chain that comes with my stands and 3 ratchet straps. Two at the top and one at the bottom. I also ratchet my climbing sticks. And of course, there’s my lifeline.
I wasn’t always this way but a friend bounced and he’s now paralyzed from the chest down...
