Can you just go out earlier in the morning when there’s a slight dew on the ground. Would be easier to see the tracks. Could add a little extra surfactant to it if you’re worried about it not sticking to the plant.

5.9-6.1 isn’t that bad. I’d plant it and fertilize it with straight nitrogen. It’s a plant that always seems to make even in drought or poor soil.

Look up Diquat. It’s like Paraquat but the acid that’s in it isn’t as strong. Still a strong chemical so I would try to keep it off of myself as much as possible.
