    Cheating Walleye Fisherman

Funny thing is they would have won without the weights.

    260 or 300 easton axis

260 no doubt. Seriously doubt it will be too stiff and even if it was I’ve never had a stiff arrow cause me issues. I once shot 300 spine arrows out of a 51lb bow with a 28” draw. I was using 175 grain German Kinetic heads and they flew like lasers.

    Crab apples?

Not sure about up there but down here in the south it’s hard to beat a persimmon.

    Thermal and IR Coyote Hunting.

Another thing concerning NV scopes that’s important is tube life. A tube for a Gen 3 device is good for roughly 10,000 hours. Not sure exactly what the tube life on Gen 2 is but probably half and Gen 1 may be 1000 if you’re lucky. So not only are you getting a significantly better scope with a...

    Clover

Ok. I agree with that but unless a plant is mature it should still be growing. Also, and you touched on this, is there needs to be moisture available to the plant/weed. A plant that is suffering from drought will not take up and get the chemical to the root as effectively as one that is well...

    Thermal and IR Coyote Hunting.

A really good NV scope is around $4000.00 Yes, there are cheaper ones that will work but after you have used/shot with a good one there’s no going back. You guys know a lot more about habitat management than I do. I was just trying to help you guys with something that I have experience with...

    Thermal and IR Coyote Hunting.

Hello all, I’m down in middle Georgia and ran a night time hog hunting business for years. In that time, I used both night vision and thermal. Night Vision is rated Gen 1,2, and 3 and with 3 being the best but not all Gen 3s are the same. Heres how to know if you’re getting a good one but it’s...

Out of state with 2 preference points?

Op, While no one wants you killing “their” buck the people of Iowa have always amazed me at their generosity when it comes to allowing someone to hunt. I would be surprised if you went out there in the summer and knocked on doors for a few days if you didn’t find somewhere to hunt. I wouldn’t...

    Turkey #’s & one observation….

Guys, I’m down in Georgia and our turkey population is pathetic compared to what it used to be. A friend of mine has a buddy who is on the Georgia NWTF board and he said the chicken farmers finally admitted that it was some kind of worm in the chicken poop that was killing the turkeys. I do...

    Clover

Not sure mowing then spraying is the best route. The roots are still the same size. The plant needs to take up the RU and more leaves will help it take in more of the chemical. I was always told and read to do what you did but if one thinks about how RU works it just doesn’t make sense.

What u do if shoot deer in warm weather?

Down here in Georgia, we usually get them to the processor asap. If that’s not an option, skin and quarter it and toss it in a cooler. Then take it to the processor the next day. Or do as Curtis Walker suggested and build a walk in cooler.

    Whats tough enough for....

Give Durana clover a try. Imo, it’s the toughest clover out there. If it will not handle it, I doubt any clover will.

    Conservation officers using cell cams

I support LEOs and have many friends who are but this is nonsense. I don’t care how big of a dirt bag you are, the LEOs should have to folllow the law as well. They should not be held to a higher standard but should be held to the same one.

Quick attach for 3 point implements

I have a Pats Quick Hitch on my 46hp Kubota. I love it but it does extend your implements out about another 4” so you may have to buy a longer top link. For me, it was a game changer when hooking up to my 6’ tiller. You had to be absolutely perfect to get it done and it was much easier with 2...

I have used the 110 gallon tub you get from Tractor Supply. Never have buried mine. All types of critters use them. I’m in middle Georgia.

What do you think of these Liquid Calcium products

I have been told by someone a lot smarter than me about these things that stuff will melt ice but not really change ph. Kind of hard to put 1.5 tons of lime in a 2.5 gallon jug. Find a way to put out some ag lime. Google drop spreader. You may find one you can rent. Guarantee you that...

    Real wet here

Last year we were wet down here in Georgia and this year it’s about as dry as a bone. About 90 here today. A little rain is in the forecast for Friday but that’s been the case now for a couple of weeks. When Friday gets here, they change the forecast. Good luck up there. Even in our best of...

HF 2057, taking of nuisance animals

They are trying to pass this down here in Georgia. I guess not enough people trap anymore to keep them in check. It may be part of the reason so many states turkeys have declined in recent years.
