Senate subcommittee meeting - SF 83, TUES 1:30- Kill all the deer - senate version. Attend, zoom, email…

I’d prefer it be in the hands of the people/hunters! The ability to vote in major issues/limits/seasons would really help ! The Iowa DNR does a pretty good job, but lots of states have DNR employees that are very liberal and push issues that are not good for the sportsman (Minnesota) as an...

    Who is shed hunting?!

I left 2 acres of corn in Minnesota and the deer are hitting it … found a shed close by.

Senate subcommittee meeting - SF 83, TUES 1:30- Kill all the deer - senate version. Attend, zoom, email…

I understand what you are saying. Lee moved from Minnesota to Iowa due to the obviously better hunting situation. He’s kind of living the American dream, I’d really hate to discourage that. Maybe a disclosure page on his hunting videos that says…it will take you five years to hunt Iowa and...

    Osage orange trees

I have natural hedge thicket developing in Missouri-about 5 acres. Bucks are bedding there now. I’m adding some cedars and oaks (hold their leaves) to thicken it up ! I anticipate it will be a great spot -south facing.

    Cedar bedding along access routes

That’s a tough call ? Depends on so many factors. I personally don’t like to take out cover like cedars that are getting heavy use ? Just my thought.

    The power of browse

I hinge cut 3 acres of Boxelder in Minnesota and I had 9-10 does/fawns in there all year. It seemed like every buck in the area was checking them out during the rut . The first year it was crazy, it’s settled down now… but some deer are still bedding in it .

2025-26 deer season change wish list

That’s a strong list and I’d sign up for it ! The cell cams I have mixed emotions. I used them for surveillance on my farm 5 hours away. I’d hate to lose that .

    God has blessed America.

We have a trade deficit with Canada and he wants to make it even. I have read up on it .. live in Minnesota. By the way your leader Trudeau— who’s on the way out—put a zero travel ban on the border during Covid. It about put the Canadian resorts under, some of which are owned by Americans. My...

    Cedars vs pine vs spruce

The deer are really in my conifer bedding area/tree plantings. -20 below in Minnesota, they can get some relief in there.
