Thoughts on the cheap tree pullers?

I am thinking about buying one of those cheap tree pullers, like the easy man, or similar. Am I throwing away money? Will I destroy it in a couple hours? How about the titan tree puller, any better? Pulling small 3-4" elm, smaller oak, 5" cedar..

Polaris 800. I'll note, if the lime gets wet, it will bridge in the spreader but stopping to knock the bridges down with a broom handle when you see an issue took care of it without it being a big deal. The chart for this spreader has a measure for lime, fertilizer.

    Wow Just Wow....... Land Prices

His comps went back 2 years. All under $5k/a except 1 that had a nice 60x104 building with built out living quarters in 2400sf of it and it only went for $5357/a. All Harrison County Mo Comps. There's current listings in Harrison County for >$5k/a but they aren't sold. Recent auction on Rec...

Deer Gro products -Plot Start and Plot Boost

I bought an 12' EZ Flow spreader to spread ag lime. Loaded it with my tractor, pulled it with my utv. Spread 10 tons pretty quick. Let the neighbor spread 6 ton with it. He liked it so much he bought his own. Cost me $400 to purchase. Juice was worth the squeeze for me.

Anyone got any decent rates on recent land purchases

Flipping a farm is one situation I can think of. I didn't plan on it, but I did it a couple years ago.

    Wow Just Wow....... Land Prices

Met with a realtor yesterday about a farm I'm thinking of selling in NW MO. The Comps are even worse than I expected. It's a rec farm. Meeting with another Realtor today but I don't expect any different news, they can all pull the same Comps. Might end up holding onto the farm at these prices.

    EQUIP Funds Frozen

That would cause a land price reset, many say would be healthy....I personally don't want to see it.. But agree, Gov spending is wayyyyy out of control. I expect to see a lot of investigations in regards to all kinds of bribes, money under the table, payoffs, pay-to-play, general corruptness...

    Farm Contract Recommendations

Some more good points to consider. Chopping silage also removes more of the nutrients, specifically P & K that I'm concerned about. The tenant would need to apply more P&K to keep the soil fertility up if chopping silage vs just pulling the grain. Lime has been something that we've mostly paid...

    Farm Contract Recommendations

Those are some good adds. I question the termination of lease every year tho, a tenant might not be as willing to put in crossings, put down lime, make other improvements if they feel the lease is short term and might be taken from them next year.....just my thoughts on it... I used to do a...

    UTV Spreader

I don't but I have a Fimco, and it'll often stop spreading due to the weight of the fertilizer. Mine is an older unit though and maybe worn out. The Herd looks like a solid unit. I notice it says low amp draw and that's important because it's my understanding utv/atv's charge a battery just...

    Farm Contract Recommendations

Our leases always have a specific end date, stating no further notice required. That way you don't have to remember to give notice by Sept 1 or whatever the states guideline is. Instead of soil samples to maintain fertility, we use harvest yields and Agphd app to determine what tenant needs to...

    God has blessed America.

Yes, Thank God! That could have ended VERY badly.... But, I don't think the damage the Dem's caused the last 4 years will be soon forgotten and since Trump is polarizing, it leads me to believe that after his term, another Republican with more polish and likeability can connect with more people...

    Wow Just Wow....... Land Prices

Not here to argue. People have different perspectives on what prices are doing, I gave you mine. I can give you example where some bottom ground in Worth county didn't bring $6k at an auction recently, so ..... I'm curious which one in Worth you're referring to. I follow that area pretty close...

    Wow Just Wow....... Land Prices

That's interesting. I don't watch Iowa land sales/asking prices that much, much more tuned in to NW Mo ground and I think all land in NW Mo has softened, rec ground, combo, bottom ground alike. I assumed (I know - there I go again assuming), that most land in the midwest states followed the same...

    Wow Just Wow....... Land Prices

I tend to agree with others responses to your question. Iowa saw a decrease in land prices last year. I believe those same fundamentals are still in place, being high interest rates, low grain prices, and past inflation which has squeezed the pocket books of many. I always try to put numbers to...
