Off topic, maybe controversial but a lot of fun & excitement!!!!

I believe the reason the tides are turning there is that they are now counting all the mail in votes. The republicans turned out strong at the polls and those votes were counted first. the democratic votes are leaning towards mail in. I’m a firm believer in our voting system. I don’t...

looking pretty tight now as the early votes are counted. If my count is right, Biden needs to win nevada, michigan, and wisconsin in order to to win. Of course pennsylvania is in play, but looking like a Trump victory there. Trump is probably going to need Michigan or Wisconsin

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m assuming the dividend is considered taxable income right?

Man I have always voted with a mail in ballot. I really like it because on the races where im unfamiliar with the candidates, I can do some research at home before filling in the bubble. And of course it frees me up to hunt if i’m not working.

    Beans up BIGLY

What do you think is driving the bean rally? My assumption is that the beans aren’t as good as everyone thought. I’ve talked to several farmers in Iowa and KS and beans seem to be off 20 bushel from that hot dry spell late summer. lots of tiny little beans. Also, just curious why so bullish...

Ur right...I don’t think the number could be quantified. I just think most folks are near the center but lean one way or the other. Lots of craziness on each end of the spectrum.

What about the 80% of us who are moderates? Which side do we fight for? Flip a coin I guess.

    Using Drones

I think it could get tricky. If its a wounded deer, and you have plans to go shoot it again, technically that sounds a lot like using it for hunting. The regs are pretty vague on this in iowa, but i wouldn’t mess with it, even though it could be a great tool if used ethically.

90 seconds of a bad idea....

U sure those aren’t chiggers? I’ve been covered like that a couple times in kansas. not fun at all. a wash cloth won’t get them off. I had to scrape them and use a pretty abrasive scrub brush.

    DNR Listening sessions 2020

Agreed...The DNR tends to get all the hate for dumb legislative decisions. Lots of great folks do great work within the DNR. I can't imagine all the idiots they get to deal with on a daily basis. If you want to make a difference you need to not only show up to these meetings, but more...

    2021 Idaho Elk Hunt

That Alps Pack looks pretty sweet for the price. I’ve been thinking about upgrading to an Exo, but the price seems a little outrageous to me. Is that the pack you own? How does it handle heavy loads?

Let's talk DIY out of state hunts...

Well the best advice I could give without any specific questions being asked would be to get a Gohunt subscription. Then you can look at each state individually, pick a species, and determine if there are hunts that appeal to you.

Let's talk DIY out of state hunts...

What are you wanting to hunt? when? provide some details. I think a full textbook could be written responding to the vague details you’ve given.

I've talked to quite a few.......

I felt the numbers were way down in western iowa. not any ehd in the area and not much corn around, just not very many deer. i think we have been over harvesting for a few years. doe tags haven’t changed though, so the dnr must think we have plenty.
