    Poor Rack Score Estimation

I used to think that I was good at judging deer and this year I shot a nice two year old thinking it was a three. Came in fast thought it was bigger took the shot then realized it was a younger deer! Really wished I would have studied the deer better! Oh well I never filled my tag last year so...

    One more for the list

After the doe comment was made I started thinking about our doe and fawn count. I think all I've seen are single fawns so far this year so there might be more to the harshness of winter than a guy thinks. Hmmm.

    At First Glance

I am talking about the bigger deer in the back. He needs another year or two. :)

    At First Glance

At first glance this deer looks big then you start looking him over and he doesn't seem to be that big any more. However it would be nice to see him make it two years and then see what he does. I am starting to think that trail cameras can be deceiving at times and make you think you have a...

    Ready for daylight

The one that looks blind is a ten point who is getting a pass from me. However the eight was a three year old last year and he should be a four year old this year. I believe the two deer are brothers but u can't be sure till u shoot both and check their DNA :). In that area the only deer I'll...

    One more for the list

Last year we were hit pretty hard with snow and there was a lot of ground you could not walk. The snow was up past your waist and even a lot higher in more remote places. The bucks I am getting pictures of look mature but I think the stress of last winter is preventing them from growing bigger...

    Things are looking good

Pulled another card today and things are looking good. I few bucks that sparked my interest and once we get a good look at them on the hoof we should be able to pick out a few shooters.

Starting to see some nice ones

I thought so too however if you look at the brows they are the same and the time stamps are very close together, I think it is the same deer, maybe not though won't know till it is on the ground. :)

    Nice Scrape Pix

Thanks for all the comments, I keep looking at this deer and trying to figure out what age he is. The more I look at it I think he is an older deer. Won't score high but I am hoping he will go mid 140's. My last year in Iowa I need to make it a good one. :)

    Nice Scrape Pix

Well I am new to the cite and thought I would share this one I got pix of near one of my stands. Looks like a good 4.5 year old (I think) and I think this is one I past when he was a two year old. He was a thin racked ten then and now looks like he is getting better. Well I hope everyone is...
