    Blinds

    I took an old running gear and had a local welder make a frame 10 ft off of it. Built a 6x6 blind using shadow hunters window kits with metal roof. If you are going to be moving a long way i would not go that high. I only move 50 to 100 yards. But at 12 ft high to the floor it works great.

    Numbers

    In nw ia I bought my farm in 99. i would say that the numbers today are down at least 60%. I have been calling the dnr for 3 yrs with my concerns. Glad my neighbor this yr did not get any dep tags even they are finding new places to hunt.

    I just order some from cherokee county soil and water conservation district. They will be in next spring with local pickup. the consrvation district does this for a fund raiser. If nw ia pick up is ok maybe try them.

    Scent?

    i agree with 180 class no scent. I know that they work on just the right day with the right buck but all you are doing with the wrong day wrong wind is educating them. I havent used any scent for the last 25yrs.
