i would not spray Simizine not even sure that is on label for beans i dont think it is. If it was me i would use 16-18 oz of Metochlor which is Dual. Lots of other pre that can be used many will have a long setback to plant the next crop .
One thing in favor of chemical over fire is burning up all the nests and nesting cover. I burn a 1000+ acres a year and normally am done by now but still have some to go it sucks how many turkey and pheasant nests we have found recently.
One thing to remember about the electric saws is conventional Kevlar chaps don’t provide the same level of safety as they would on a gas powered saw. It has to do with the way the sprocket will become clogged with Kevlar on a gas saw, the electric saw is more a direct drive. Not sure what is...
The 261 is hard to beat for a small saw as others have said. I have 3 of them no problems so far. I switched mine to 3/8 sprockets and chains which slows it slightly but ups the torque. I only do it so its the same as all the big saws.
Its not that hard to figure out it is simply age. Today there are to many tool to focus the pressure on the highest quality bucks. If the exact age was known on the bucks you mentioned i would bet they were 6 year old + . Not many make it now
Not a veneer tree for sure. Also not one that can be improved much by digging. Big lumber tree but short main log will be some wood in the limbs also but they are lower quality. Have to try to cut it as low as possible due to 6'6" being the absolute min length most mills will take. Table tops...
I will fill the survey out for sure glad to see other states trying to improve things at home.there is no reason to allow nonresidents the same benefits as residents . Missouri is also way to inexpensive on their NR deer tags. The NR turkey tags were almost as much as the deer tags. I have owned...
The problem is once acres are converted to income producing acres they will never go back to idle. Land today simply costs to much. Acres that get cleaned up and farmed long enough then go to CRP will most likely go back into production of some kind unless crop insurance is also completely changed.

How long was the payout after submitting the bill?
stopped in at the office and told them we were done a day or two later NRCS called and went and walked it then I signed another page and was paid in 5 days
Need some more information as in no new contracts or ending all existing contracts. I could see the new farm bill not having any new signups or lower rates for sure. I don’t think we need 20 million mostly marginal crop land back in production. Thats the part that is missed, removing Crp does...
You were speaking about a few different Bills, I spoke yesterday against HSB 251 the Outfitter tag bill. I can guarantee the ISC is 100 percent against this bill. I was called late Sunday to Speak at 12:00 noon monday by Phil the Lobbist . Him and I were the only 2 opposed i believe.
The billl...
If you can with permission post the contact info for the group that completed the work. Good to hear of solid operators. 40 plus big trees a day is good work how many guys on the crew? Not sure what invasive species but watch for them and be aggressive in removing. Post some follow up pictures...
A little bit of up to the minute information. I went today and spoke with the Subcommittee on hsb 251 this was 500 tags out of the draw for outfitters. I spoke in opposition citing many reasons. I could make a bunch of money on this but it is way wrong on many levels. I think it did pass out of...
The regulations will have to change and reduce the Buck harvest and try to increase populations overall in areas in lower density areas. They will never allow the population to go back to the 2000-2010. That crazy population is what got this late rifle and the crazy high antlerless county quotas...
Great Podcast for sure. Nicholas and Kent are good guys and very knowledgeable about all parts of Native Warm Season grasses and Wild Flowers. They grow alot of what they sell right there on the farm.
Drones will be part of the solution to trespassing. The thermal poaching issue is going to continue to be an issue and will get worse. A friend who owns land in Ohio was telling me how many "Hunters" he know that have switched there crossbow scopes to thermal for sitting on there corn piles well...
Sounds like your project is going good perfect timing to be done before you loose the frost. Many Timbers would be improved with areas of clear cutting. Lots of junk gets left over the years and that becomes the forest. We don’t tend to have the market for pulp or chipping which helps with a...
