Ya, it's tough out here. I spent around $2500 on apps last year, and all I drew was a low tier antelope unit in WY. If you want premium elk and deer hunts, it's definitely a waiting game. For sheep, you're just hoping to get lucky before you die.

Some of the best elk/deer hunts here in az are 20+ years to draw. 10 years isn't that long to wait to start getting a tag every year. Not to mention the opportunity for some income return off the land, so if you've got the cash, and a LOT of people do right now, that's a huge incentive to buy.

Mexico was very good to me again this year. Another 120"+ coues. Pretty shocked it happened two years in a row. Rut was on fire. Watched my buck run all over the mountainside before I got a shot at 598 yards. We ended up with three deer at 120" over bigger. Even the 2x2 went over 100"!

The vortex UHD's are a pretty good binocular also you might want to check out Maven. I'm only running Swaros out here as you really can tell the difference when you glass all day at distance. But you're not giving up a ton with the UHD's. I've never used the mavens, but lots of guys out...
