About 2005.
Started with a small clover plot.
Have never had a big enuff field to plant corn or beans.
Yearly plots are clover, brassics and my fav..Pumpkins.
This area along the Mn/ ND border is extremely flat, open country.
There are various tributaries that flow into the Red River. However, seems every year, once the crops get going, the bigger bucks will often abandoned the riverbottoms and head out miles away and summer in the many remote drainage...
BAMMMM!, You Nailed it bronc!!
I did not figger anyone would have guessed that.
To the west of my woods, there is about 2 miles of wide open ag fields.
During a big snow event and high winds, the edge of my woods can pile up snow big time. 2 years ago, it was about 15' deep.
One more factor is...
My brassicas are doing fantastic. Could use some rain though.
Got one plot that's almost to the dirt already.
Seems like new deer show up everyday.
I triple 19ed them heavily.
Hey now...., gas dropped 15c today, bought 6# of chicken thighs for 1.69$ lb,
Filled up a 100# empty propane tank for 70.00$,
Maybe she ain't all bad. Lol.
:p
There is a liquid folleor spray but I would not recommend it.
Tried it once with similar circumstances.
Did not help one bit.
I've learned the hard way$$$ when planting brassicas,
Don't skip on the fertilizer from the get go.
Wind is HUGE... ours here is predominantly some sort of west.
I knew you fellas so far would pick the S.E. quarter.
1 more HUGE FACTOR here I deal with in Nw Mn. And one more very common denominator never heard discussed.
Dig deep guys. I know someone will come up with what I'm thinking...
That One great answer.
Dig a bit deeper and think of any other reasons.
A food for though kinda thing for anyone thinking of buying land to hunt.
Damn Skip.... lol.
Would you choose.
Never heard of this being discussed before in print or media.
Just crossed my mind today.
Let's say there was a 640 acre block of superb cover and it was being sold I quarters and you could buy only one. Which one and why. Remember, apples to apples.
