    God has blessed America.

I don't disagree at all that Biden didn't have much of a stance in the ME. I think thats a big reason he lost so many votes this time around. And the Trump team did send a rep with the Biden convoy over to negotiate the final terms of the ceasefire...albeit an individual with a real estate...

Recommendations for Dozer operator near Chariton, IA?

Clearing a small food plot on a farm near Chariton. Anyone have recommendations of a dozer operator in the area?

    God has blessed America.

The groundwork of the ceasefire was brokered under Biden starting in May 2024. This is why I despise politics. Each party will cherry pick events and align them favorably to their own party with little basis of truth. I hate that I HAVE to include this to not sound partisan, but I am not...

URGENT + EASY + TIME - THURSDAY, Capital, 2 bad bills!!!!

I unfortunately didn't read this in time to attend the meetings, but kudos to those who did. Scary proposals that would be big, negative changes if passed.

Anyone got any decent rates on recent land purchases

X2 for pilot grove savings bank as recommended by my RE Agent. Competitive rates and will go down to 20 amd sometimes 15% down pmt

    Coyote predation

I've seen a ton this late winter with some trail pics showing 4 in a single picture. I didn't get that many pictures before December but the traffic has since increased significantly. Wonder if it's due to mating season for the yotes finding new territory? This is the first year I'm seriously...

    Cell cam options

I run mostly Tactacams and have had pretty good results. Decent battery life but I'm slowly getting external batteries for all of them so I don't have to keep buying AA's - highly recommend this for any camera brand.

    New corn plots

Is there any benefit to mowing it like many do for corn to get it on the ground? ...to make it easier to hunt over

    Deer #’s down statewide???

I grew up in Mercer county, MO amd still hunt a few farms there. On my farms I would say the deer numbers are down compared to 5 years ago. In 2017 I would see 10-15 on some good evenings. Now I'm lucky to see 5.

    Diseased Buck Help!

I 100% agree that no good solution has been proposed yet to help stop CWD. On the other other hand, I think I would still like to know if CWD is present on my farms, how it's spreading, where its most prevalent, etc. All in the hopes to better understand causality and where our research dollars...

    Shoulder blade hit- thoughts?

A definite game of inches. I used to think pulling 70+ lbs with 31"+ of draw length that I could get away with just about an shot placement. I've heard numerous stories like this one that certainly has me realizing these old tough bucks can take a pretty hard hit no matter the bow setup. Good...

    Pre-rut activity moon related

My scrape activity has slowed a little the last couple days. Bucks are still scent checking them but just very brief stops. I thinking they're just transitioning to the search phase and less about laying down sign.

    Switch vs. Indian

I'm thinking of seeding a couple acres in grass. Curious what deer/turkey benefits you like with Indian?

    Planting Osage Orange

I read somewhere that deer love the taste of OO leaves?? I have predominantly oak covered farm....contemplating placing some OO in there....like the cover they provide that big bucks seem to favor and the browse they provide is an added bonus.

    Lightweight hunting pants suggestions

I recently bought the Kuiu Katana pants after loving the Kuiu Attack pants. The Katana's are supposed to be for mild/warmer weather and pretty robust. If you're looking for higher-end, long lasting pants I think Kuiu makes some good ones.

    Regs Dialogue with MDC Director

I'd be curious to dig into any consideration they put on age structure aside from basing their regulations purely on survey input. For instance, MO's ranking in terms of B&C entries from 2005 - 2010 was 5th but more recent records indicate we've dropped to 7th. With interest noticeably...

    Regs Dialogue with MDC Director

As someone born and raised in Northern MO, I'm fully aligned to the same exact concerns you outlined in the email to MDC...well said. I'm now an Iowa resident as of this year...in large part due to MO's poor deer mgmt practices. The unfortunate reality from MDC's response is that growing mature...

Free chestnut, persimmon, hybrid oak, pear, etc.

That's a generous offer! I'll be re-purposing a hayfield next year into more habitat and plan to work in some chestnuts, pears and oaks as part of that. Good mix of species you got there. I'm sure I'll be seeking some IA Whitetail advice next year when I get ready to plant.
