Looking for some southern Iowa spring turkey hunting information

I do live in the area. While I will say you are right with increased activity and ease of hunting apps, there is still plenty of opportunities and without seeing people. I've hunted public for turkeys the past 2 seasons on public. Two years ago, I shot one on the first morning I went (Saturday)...

Looking for some southern Iowa spring turkey hunting information

Those all can be good areas. I would say if you are going during a weekend you are bound to run into some people. If you go during the week there will be plenty of open parking lots.

    Tennessee / Kentucky Spring Turkey

Thanks for the input. It does look like TN is about twice the price. I think I'm set on Kentucky and was looking into Eastern Kentucky due to the amount of public in the area. Definitely would hear out any input on East vs West.

Great podcast on hunting, history, out west, buffalo, etc etc.

Another great one is Bear Grease. Its all about frontier life, poaching scandals, hound hunting, and outdoor life all in a documentary style. Clay Newcomb is the man and 100% worth the listen.

    Best Muzzleloader Bullet?

I think that can happen, as well. Per my post above, the first doe at I shot this year was the day with -40 windchills. I'm sure I still hit the doe, but I do think it was a possibility that I hit her low. I waited until I got to the blind to load my gun that day and it was an absolute bearcat...

    Best Muzzleloader Bullet?

I'm sure this has been hit on before, but what is anyone's opinion on a good muzzleloader bullet? The last few years I have been using the Thompson Center shockwave with mixed results. I shot a couple deer with those bullets, but barely had any blood trail and got lucky enough to see them fall...
