Not sure on the twist on my old deerslayer. That might have something to do with not shooting these newer slugs well. I also know from shooting my muzzle loader u can't put to much powder behind a lighter bullet. Sprays them all over. Maybe same thing going on with the faster slugs...

I too was looking at the stainless but cost more. Would stainless barrel make gun more accurate or just better for corrosion?

Yes its the fixed rifled barrel deerslayer. I tried xp3s, hornady, remington etc. I practice shoot out of a led sled but didn't seem to get good groups. The older bri winchester 1 oz sabot seem to group the best but they are slower and not the best slug. It seems the more speed with the...
