Here are a couple pictures from Saturdays duck opener. Its a great time spent with friends enjoying the outdoors. There is never a dull moment with this group. There were eleven of us that hunted two differnet ponds (Public Hunting) on Saturday and here are the results. Five bands!!!!

Very nice!

I took my son for the first time (he's 5) I shot 6 BWT. Had a blast with him.

Nice job picking out the greenheads...hard to do this time of year.

It is good to see that somebody got some ducks....we had youth waterfowl day in MN on sat and it was pretty slim where we were. 4 blue wings

Congrats on the ducks, looks like you had a blast! We didn't do near as well but had a great time being out.

NW Scrapper..first off I'm jealous. Here in SEI we are waiting for another week to open and we have a ton of birds down right now. Secondly, that seems like a lot of mallards for an early season shoot. We might be able to get the same # of ducks early, but can't come close on the numbers of mallards! Looks like you had a great hunt... but...what's up with the bands?? Are they local bands or did you hit the Federal Band jackpot? Once again, congrats on your hunt with your group! Thanks for the pictures!

Cloaca thanks for the comments. No we usually don't shoot that many mallards on the opener, usually ten will stop it. as for the bands nothing but [censored] as luck. they are all local bands we assume because most were first year birds. Good luck on the opener down south. I leave for Canada friday night for a week, hopefully I have lots of pictures to post when I return. I will try to post some pictures from a South Dakota goose hunt later this week.

Nice work Mike, sweet! Didn't get a chance to make it out last weekend but looks like you did some damage for everyone. Great hunt! Call in those bands!
