If calculations are correct we all have 136 days untill bow season. Turkey hunting is done. I shot my bird first morning of fourth season exciting but now i am lacking in ways to get in the woods...i want to get an early start on deer season! I have no idea where to start? Does anyone have any tips or helpful hints for me on where to or how to scout or do anything. any help would be marvolous thanks

I'd be lobbying for longer turkey seasons

I didn't realize it was so short there.
Ours started March 25th and doesn't end until May 20th.
I'm still considering getting a third tag.
Our deer season starts Sept 15th. I think that's about 134 days off.
If I need out sooner, I could go chase antelope starting August 20th.
As for scouting, when the beans are up, drive the roads with a good set of optics. That will give you a great idea of what's out there.
You can also find hot trails leading to food sources from last fall and hang stands now. Good luck.

Get out and do some morel mushroom hunting. Look for deer trails, last years rubs, bedding areas. Note where you jump deer. Travel patterns may change somewhat come fall, but any information is good information. If you don't like to eat mushrooms, I'm sure you know someone who does.

Yeah i here ya i was lacking in time for hutning then fourth season rolled around and i was ready to get going. I had some more time open then bam first morning out i am done. I just want to be in the woods...Ill have to get out there.....Thnkas for the help!
