seems strange to me that you wouldnt be able to hunt your own land with a bow on these 2 days(9-10) if your archery tag was not filled.

I personally still have an archery tag in my pocket and barring a kill this next weekend, looks like I will be chasing them in late December. I would love to be able to hunt those 2 days as I think the deer would be moving well due to the pressure. Oh well its been one of the best archery seasons I have ever had even with no kill (if that makes any sense)

Those deer on those two days will be hiding from 1st season. I am in the same boat as you but I figure since we already had 2 full months to hunt 2 days isn't going to be the smoking gun. I think they like to give the deer a little break before they get hammered during second season.

If you ever hunted late muzzleloader season then you know you would be better off waiting a week before even thinking about sitting in a tree freezing while waiting for normal deer movement. Stay home and have a beer.:drink1::D

G6 is spot on,the deer need a few days to settle down.I usually wait at least a week.Mike you need a lucky horse shoe.

You can hunt 80 days with a bow and you feel you need 2 more?
I will be bowhunting the first day of late muzzy season.Either with a muzzy tag or my bow tag if it's still unfilled.I don't think there is a lot of hunting pressure after the first weekend of the 2nd season. At least in my area.
I can use a 17 day break.
