Now that I've learned how to post pics I thought maybe some of you'd like to see a buck I shot in 2001 with the smokepole. He grossed 125 MISSING both browtines, both G2's (his G3's were 13 inches long), a G5 and some main beam off his left side, and only had an inch left of a really cool drop tine on his right side. I'll take some more pics up close of the drop. Several conclusions have been reached regarding the drop but I'll post a pic later and see what everyone thinks.

Simple Missouri minds....;)

Actually that's one of the sheds I had picked up that spring, after the luck I had with them that year I wouldn't go hunting without them no matter what. I rattled in over 2 dozen bucks in '01 before getting a good shot. Since then I've had unbelieveable luck with the horns.

here's a closeup of the weird hollowed out drop tine...any ideas??

This damage was likely due to a parasite infection. I have seen some more severe than that and some less severe. Damage during velvet can and will result in abnormal growth. Neat twist to the rack, makes him really unique........Shredder220
