2006 Iowa Spring Turkey Regs.

Two great changes in my opinion...

• Hunters may purchase both combination gun/bow and archery-only licenses.

• The minimum age and hunter education requirements were eliminated for Youth Season hunters.

Does the age change mean that there is no age limit to hunt turkeys? From what I understand I could take my 7 year old and he could shoot a turkey and be legal. Right?

Yes...and he can hunt the youth season with you as well as another season!

Those are great changes and much needed. I'll definitely keep shooting my bow as time and weather permit. I've wanted to try the bow for a couple of years now and this makes it possible without giving up my gun options.
