2006 Spring Turkey Contest

Like last year there will be a Spring Turkey contest for all PMA members who are up to date on their dues! Rules are as follows...

1. Turkey weight, beard length, and spur lengths should be PM'd to me and I will keep the scores on a spreadsheet and post the winners after all the seasons are over.

2. Each PMA member will only be allowed to enter ONE bird, so make sure at least one of them is a big one!

3. All contestants, bow and shotgun, will be lumped together to keep it simple.

Prizes will be the same as last year.

1st - Iowawhitetail shirt
2nd - Iowawhitetail hat
3rd - Iowawhitetail arrow wraps

What happens if the second bird we take is bigger than the first? Will the second birds score cull out the first score if it is in fact bigger or is it one shot, one kill, one score? Just trying to figure out which season I want to fill the tag with the "Tirty Pounder".

If you hunt 1st season and kill a big one and then in 4th season you kill an even bigger one you may enter the 4th season bird, it will just negate your first bird. If then you went to Illinois and killed a 3rd bird that is bigger than both of the first two birds you may enter that bird instead and then negate out the first two birds.

Biggest bird you kill this spring is the one you get to enter, period.

a big bird?

I have deleted pretty much everything from last year, but I'll look again. I do know that M360 cleaned house with a bird that had 4 or 5 beards.
