just got these back home...had the camera out for a week and a half while I was in Hawaii with my wife for a while!

I think the flash scared the first deer away!!

The second is a small buck that made it through...always happy to see that.

The last is a pretty good bodied deer...not sure how big he is but I assume he a mature animal with the body size...am I wrong on this; is he just too close to the camera??

I'm not saying that flash hasn't or won't scare deer, but the picture is taken at the same time the flash goes off. These deer more than likely ran past the camera and got their picture taken.

I run double picture mode on a lot of my cameras and the second picture is 10 seconds delayed from the first.

You will usually see one of two things in the second picture. Either the deer will be looking right at the camera, or you will have a empty second picture if the deer spooked.

Glad your having fun with the camera.

Hey, thanks for the advice...I think I'll set mine for the same...I have a Stealth WD-2 and it has that same function...that's a great idea.

This is so addicting! I want to check them every night, but I'm waiting about a week or 2 in between sets!

thanks again

That 3rd pic looks like a fat boy to me.
I moved my cam tonight to a tree right next to my stand. I climbed up and tried to fill a doe tag. The only deer that walked past the cam was a button buck, but when it flashed he just looked at the cam and then went on about his day. With the repeated pics I get of many deer, sometimes dozens in several minutes, I dont think its a huge problem.
I agree if the does in the 1st pic are spooking from the flash, they must be damn fast, as in faster than the speed of light!

Wonder if your cam makes slight noise when its triggered and they began to react before/as it flashed?
