2nd shotgun season

I am a non resident and I am planning a hunt for Iowa for 2nd shotgun season. I will be hunting with a party for the whole season (9days). How many shotgun slug shells should I bring with me?

One... oh wait, do you get two tags? I would say two and a few spares.

In all honesty, I see no need for more than about 10 but I hear of others using 80 plus. Different type of hunting than what I do, even when I hunt shotgun seasons.

as many as you can afford.. better to have too many than not enough.. .. I usually keep 5 boxes in the truck during shotgun season and about 10 with me in the field... and.. I also shoulder my muzz... just in case

I will be hunting zone 4 page county.

If you take ethical shots at standing deer- no more than 1-2 slugs per tag you plan to fill. Take a few extra in case you need to put down a wounded deer that someone else took poor shots at.
