Good weekend trapping. Got a 27, 35, 22, 45, and 42lb beaver.

Our trapping gun is grandpa's old .22 revolver he used to carry when he drove truck out to WY and back hauling cattle. He passed away a couple years ago and since nobody else in the family hunts grandma gave it to us. A special gun to use when checking the traps. He was one of those guys that you could sit down and talk to and listen to his stories from the past and time would fly by. I never remember him complaining about a thing or saying a bad word about anyone... truly someone to look up to.

#4 - while it was swimming around.
We were cleaning up a dam/road next this pond with the chain saw and dad looked over his shoulder and this thing was swimming around. He was caught before the weekend was over. Ended up being the biggest one of the weekend but was really scarred up on its back. Not sure if it was another beaver or something tried to eat it?
#5 - 2nd beaver in this snare set for the weekend

There are a whole bunch more out there yet... they just keep coming out of no where.
