Well, I suppose if I thought someone else wouldn't shoot it and I could find the self control, I would let it walk. Most likely I would shoot. I'm a rookie on this one but I'm guessing 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 yr deer??? So based on that if it was my land and I had say so on what other people shot, I would like to see that one in 2 more years. Please flame me if I'm wrong on this one, only way I will learn
looks aweful similar....but where is that little drop at the front of the right antler? It looks as if that is the same deer, he alreadt broke it off. Looks good enough for me Jason...good pics and good luck with him if you decide he is worthy
Hey Jason if you look at the top deer he has a double throat patch, go back and check a front shot of the bottom deer if you have one, but I dont think theres a chance that they're the same deer.
I think it is the same deer .... there are alot of similarities to the shape- tine length - brow tines. The obvious difference seems to be that little drop point , I zoomed in on that part of the rack and it could be broken off, It's hard to tell for sure but I think it's the same deer too.
looks like the same buck to me. tough to let him walk, but it would be interesting to see what that drop did next year. I guess it depends on what else you got runnin around for big bucks. If you have somethin bigger to go after then let him walk. If you dont, let him have it.
I think they are the same buck. If you look real close at the first picture, you can tell that the drop is broke off. Maybe I'm wrong but it doesn't look like that maim beam comes to a point. He'd be a beaut next year...
