Hung the cam on a lick....basically I hole I found and threw some stuff in, possibly a natural lick???? Anyways, was worried for a minute when I couldn't find my camera, found it on the ground....this is the last pic it took.

Anyways.........only got 55 pics, likely b/c it hit the dirt on day 1, quite a few bucks, mostly little. Got this guy......can't decide if he'll be any good...I'm brutal at that this time of yr.

Can't decide if this is the same buck, this pic was actually taken first the previous one in the a.m just at daylight.

And about an hour later........this....not very big but good color, I may have to take up bear hunting ina few yrs when this one is bigger.

Pretty pleased considering it only stayed on the tree for 24 hrs or so, about 8 definate diff't bucks, mostly little like I said..but decent results.

Good start there, Kaare.

I would suggest hanging the cam a little higher or cutting all the weeds in front of it. Might help with the exposures. I would guess you can't hang it high enough for the bears to leave it alone.

Set about 4 or 5 Rat traps in front of the camera to see if that will deter them away from investigating the flash. Should not hurt them and the snapping sound may scare them away. Some folks get the cams completely trashed by those things.

Cool pics bud, that buck looks like he has some serious potential to me, outside the ears in June is always good, but you never know. As for the blondie, that will be an awesome trophy in a few years.
