A fitting end to my season

This is how my season has went this year.

The last two years the deer population in my area has taken a nosedive. It doesn't help that the orange army cleans house every year. Trailcamera pics have almost been cut in half of what they were 3 years ago. Never heard a grunt all season, never saw a buck following a doe let alone chasing it. Almost a 1/4 of the times i went out, i saw nothing. Seeing 3 deer in one sit was a good day. The only highlight of the season was when i missed a nice 8 pointer (if you want to call it a highlight). And to top it off, tonight while lowering my muzzleloader from the stand it got hung up in some brush 5 feet from the ground. When it finally got out it made the final 5 feet real fast. It made kind of a sickening sound hitting the frozen ground. I could tell something happened to it but it was too dark to see it until i got down. So i'm calling it quits for this year, going to lick my wounds and regroup. Hopefully find some new ground to hunt by next fall. On the flipside, when i have a bad deer season, my turkey season is always good, and vice versa, so i'm looking forward to spring.

I'm glad i didn't see a deer crossing the highway on the way home or i would have suckerpunched it going 100 mph.

I'm going to try to contact Knight and see what they can do for me but i got a feeling i will be SOL. This gun is about 8 years old and i loved the thumbhole stock. It broke right by the trigger assembly where it is thinnest. I doubt i can do anything to fix it. If anyone knows where i can get a replacement stock, cheap, thumbhole or not, for an LK-93 or any other model that would fit this, then please let me know.

If anyone is interested in a 40 cal handgun, check out my listing in the classifieds. I'm selling my Springfield Arms XD-40 w/Crimson Trace laser grips. Like new.

Dang dude, sorry about the rough luck. It's been a less than stellar season for many it seems but that's just a downright kick in the jimmy right there.

That sucks right there, I cracked the stock on my BK92 Knight when I bought it in 1992 the second day I was hunting with it more, cosmetic though. :thrwrck:

Well, at least it was the gun that fell and not you. Bummer on the stock, I'll keep my eyes and ears open for one.

That sucks indeed. The stock shouldnt be to big of a deal to find, although depending on the price you may be able to pick up a Knight disc extreme reasonable. Is the stock inerchangable with other models or is it model specific? I would also borrow a loaner and get back out there.

My dad has his old regular stock off his LK-93 that is black he said you could have for $25 if you would be interested in it. He went to the thumb hole stock a few years ago. Shoot me a PM or let me know if you are interested in it.

That is a killer offer right there! Buy it and get back after it! After the season you've had you deserve a happy ending! :way:

thats sucks dude... i know the feeling about the not seeing any deer.. and smucking a deer at 100 lol ... sorry for ur gun ill keep my eyes open to

I was looking at those last night, but it makes no mention of my LK-93 which is an older gun. I will have to check the compatibility of those with mine. Thanks.
