A little help !!

Right now it looks like we (me and my wife) will be going to Texas for a week in June. I'm gonna try to sneak in two or three days of hog and varmit (yotes and bobcat) hunting. But I also want to take my step dad back down to Port Aransas area again and do some deep sea fishing for King Mackeral and Dolphin. Apparently the charter I used in the past is retired. I liked him mostly because he was cheap, but he knew how to find fish gooder than most too. So I'm looking for a charter. Does anyone know anyone or have a friend that knows a guy?

I did alot of deep sea fishing in SoCal. The majority of the charter boat captains talk to each other. When we were on a private boat you could usually cacth radio comm between them and find the fish. Do some research see if there is anyway to contact him, he would probably point you to another good captain. Do a search for a fish report also, maybe save your money and go on a longer trip with your step father.

Gotta love the mahi-mahi, umm umm good. Great fish when they go acrobatic on ya also.

When we got into a school of those we'd reel in the heavy gear and toss out light tackle. Lotta fun catching 10 lb'rs on 6 lb test.

We might try to get in contact with the guy to see if he can steer us to a good charter. Maybe we can even sweet talk him into taking us out again...

OK. He does bait my hook for me but it's not cause they were creepy crawler things. It's cause even the bait down there has TEETH....
