A lot of firsts

Another 25 pts for us.. Started off a slow morning seeing a spike. 10 minutes later I see two coyotes in the distance so I thought it was going to be the end of the morning. Around 8:30 I looked out on the fence lines to see if there was any deer before I walked back home. Sure enough there was. Watched her walk down the fence line for I'd say about a mile and she eventually made her way to me. She took off on a run right before she got to me so I drew back and stopped her. She was slightly quartering away at 15 yards. I released the arrow to watch it completely pass though. With this deer came a lot of firsts in my book. They include: First deer in two years(2nd deer ever), First kill with the new bow, new sight, new arrows, new nocks and new broadheads, also new camo. I also gutted her by myself for the first time. Only thing I didn't check off my list was to get it on film. First day out of the last 8 I didn't bring my camera. Now to get my first buck.

Thanks everyone and good luck to you all as you pursue your game. Today will be the first day off the season that I have not hunted.. but I will be back in the stand again tomorrow.

Hoosier, I think it gave my heart time to relax because it was just like shooting the target when she got there. I guess the 1000 shots in September helped out.
