a scent question

ok guys im washing my clothes today i found me a rubbermaid tub in my basement how should i clean it with the laundry soap or what?? after my clothes get dryed outside im gonna pack them in it till i got saturday..am i doing this right?? correct me if im not please thanks guys...

If you weren't storing anything in the rubbermaid, I would just spray it down with scentkiller or whatever descenting spray you have and give it a good whipe down. I would find some dry oak leaves and maybe a cedar twig to store below all your clothes. As long as it's not raining or snowing, I like to keep everything on the porch or back deck with the lid off so my clothes get fresh air. I do this because there is always going to be some sort of scent they pick up from the washer or dryer.

i was storing stuff in it but it was just junk and it was a tub that really didnt have to much stuff in it..so just use the scent away spray and spray it then wipe it down?? what about putting a little bit of the scent away laundry soap and washing it that way like in my bathtub??

The green scent proof bags from Hunter Specialties work great for your outer layers of your carbon suit if you use a carbon suit.

Little hot water and some baking soda wouldnt hurt anything either. I would also do some leaves in the bottom, just make sure its not from your dogs favorite scent marking spot :p

are you saying put a little hot water in tub and some baking soda??i dont have no leaves in my yard or the neighbors...i brought the sent control box with everything in it but shampoo there is a bag in there i was gonna put clothes in that for right know

Yea just run some hot water in the tub and pour a 1/4 box of baking soda in the tub and get a clean towel and scrub it out.

Baking soda is a good scent neutralizer. As for the leaves its up to you dont bother if its a hassel.

I have plenty of leaves in my yard, and a rake in my garage, take all you want.

Alan...you're going shotgun hunting right? It's great you're going trying to get your clothes scent free, but just remember....it's just not quite as important with a gun to be as completely scent free as a bowhunter wants to be. It's very important in bowhunting because you want them in close. I know it helps for deer down wind of you with a gun, but I just don't think it's something to get too concerned about since you can reach out and poke them at much longer distances.

Do you know if you'll be hunting on stand/doing drives yet? If you're doing drives, the scent thing doesn't really matter. Plus, the opening of shotgun season usually sends the deer into a frenzy anyway and they'll be running rampid so just shoot em as they fly by ya.
