Adventure filled weekend

Is off to a great start! Buddy and I got on the ice at approx 2 today, and caught our trout limit in an hour. We are still at it, catching and releasing. These trout are a blast! The ASAT blind works great as a shelter, we use a small piece of outdoor carpet to set out chairs on, and a small piece of plywood to set my Buddy Heater on. Water is so clear, we can watch them hit. Then, I'm off to SE IA for late season anterless rifle season. Going to hopefully put the hurt on a couple of does with my DPMS LR .308 AR, and fit some predator calling in. Man I love winter!!! Have a good one everbody!!!

On to the coyotes, my two tags are already filled! One doe dropped in her tracks at 225 yds, and another one ran out to 300 yds, and it got dropped in it's tracks. Trout and backstraps for dinner tonight!

Guys were running the neighborhood hard with coyote hounds, plus all of the late rifle deer hunters, made for nervous coyotes. I'll call up here in Central IA where it is a little quieter.
