Ag fencing

We are looking for recommendations for someone who does brush clearing and ag fence building in the eastern Iowa area, specifically Johnson County. Planning on woven with a strand or two of barb over top. 20 acre parcel that is up and down, across a creek or two (not fencing the big creek for now) and it is not square. Know anybody?

Maybe...I had a young man, who I believe lives somewhere around Riverside, IA, put some woven wire fence up for me at my farm. Most, maybe all, of my work that he performed was 2 years ago now, but I think he is still doing that type of work "around". Just because I don't want to put someone else's cell number out on social media without their permission, etc. I will shoot you a PM. He did fine work.

My 2 cents, find someone that does all steel pipe posts and braces. Wood posts these days are junk unless you use hedge. This coming from a guy that built miles of fence, dad owned a part time fencing business. 48 inch netting with a barb or two on top is hard on deer, go 36 or 32.

If you do use wooden fence posts...try not to whack them with the tractor bucket when you are around them. :)

Or burn them up like a guy I know that was talking about the fire department coming to his farm.

Hedge & cats claw fasteners are amazing btw!!!!! I put up about 2/3rd mile of woven wire fence…. Never again, hiring it out next time. Doze the sucker clean, hire it out - get couple bids & call it a day.
