Going off the body alone, thats why I cropped the rack out, just curious what your thoughts were.

I'd say 5.5 plus, roman nose, saggy belly, broad shoulders, large neck, start to see hunch in his back.

4.5???

Great post idea Brian, sure puts all of our "aging knowledge" to the test,....I mean age guessing.

HA! I have no idea.... I guess if I had a pistol pointed at my temple, Id say 3.5-4.5

Once again, ol' Sasky just about took the words right out of my mouth. :D

I think it is a mature buck, 4-1/2 or older, too much body mass and size present for me to think it is a younger deer. But then again, maybe it just well fed beast on a low pressure farm and he is only 2-1/2. But I will say mature.

I will also say that we have multiple, sometimes several dozen, trail cam pics of specific bucks from our own farm throughout the summer/early fall that depending upon the pose in any given pic, would cause me to think a given buck is a younger deer, even when we know the deer from previous years and know that he is at least 4-1/2 years old.

Personally, I think a lot of people think they know more about aging than what they really do. I admit, while I do know some things about aging, I do not consider myself an expert on the subject by any means. Looking at just one pic of just about ANY buck is not enough to be 100% sure of the age, at least in my experience.

The guess's have been pretty good. He is actually an old, old, old buck that is past the down hill slide, he has reached bottom. I really don't know the age of this deer beside's I have 3 years worth of pics of him, and I would have guessed him at 5 or 6 when I started getting the pics, and he has gotten smaller every year. Not 100% sure on age, but I would say 9+.
