Alfalfa, Turkeys and Foxes

Here is an interesting question. I own land in SE iowa and have a great Deer pop but it seems few turkeys. It is EXCELLENT habitat but my trail cams have picked up alot of foxes and coons this year. Is it possible that is why there are less turks? Also, the best places I hunt have alfalfa and the turkeys seems to love it!!! So, this spring I pulled 5 acres of grain and am planting 5 acres of alfalfa, plus another area of my farm in alflafa(3 more acres-previously unplanted), Another 6 acres of grain was pulled on another area of my farm where I am planting 6 acres of big blue stem and switch grass for bedding and nesting cover.Hope it helps, any suggestions to increase turk pop's????? I am serious when I say the timber, food, etc is all there, minus alfalfa of course until this yr, so I am unsure why I have just a few turks???? Any thoughts to improve things???

Mow some areas off nice and flat so they can strut unhindered.

Have DoubleAArchery come down and trap the coon and foxes for ya... or else do it yourself cuz he can't catch nuthing but a cold.

Seriously, coon will be devastating to the eggs, same with foxes. Whack some/all of the coons.
