BIGBUCKDOWN

Not really big deal but it still gets me. I planted 2 acres of corn this year and hung stand up on fenceline. I finally go back at 10 this am to sit before I leave for work and someones in a tree 10 to 15 ft in neighbors from my stand. So I left and told him he was welcome for all the time i put in. He never did look at me. I thought about going and sitting under his stand, I have permission for that side also The nieghbors side sucked until my corn was there I guess. Sorry had to rant

any way next year you can put the plot further into your property?

whats really awkward is when you are sitting in your box stand before daylight and you have a guy climb the ladder and try getting into the stand with you not knowing you are already in there. I am pretty sure he pissed his pants when I said "HEY"

I'd have climbed up into my stand right by him, maybe offer to rattle for him. What a jerk to set up right on your stand pretty much.

So I found this awesome little standing corn field with lots of deer sign in it. Naturally I set my stand up and prepare for an epic hunt. About 10am this guy comes walking down the fenceline and tries to climb into a stand close to me! The nerve of some people! Finally he saw me and I think he was intimidated by my stature and got down and mumbled something as he walked awa................................. Oooooh..........well this is awkward

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D Just tryin to lighten the mood a bit! I would be hot if I was you! I can't believe how ignorant some people are.

I gotta go against the grain here a bit. As much as it sucks to for you, you really can't blame the guy can you? If I had permission on some property and there was a food plot right across the fence, heck yeah thats the fence line I'd hunt (if there was not a better spot). Now, I wouldn't put a stand up nearly that close to an existing stand, but maybe he didn't see your stand?? Idk, I guess what I'm driving at is if the guy does have permission, he's doing no wrong, just hunting the best spot he can just like all the rest of us would. Why take the time to hunt if you're not in the best spot you think you can be in right? Or maybe he's a city slicker that knows jack squat about farming and thinks that plot is a un-combined field? Did you check with the owner to make sue he had permission? If he doesn't then please disregard everything I said and help him take his stand down.

I was always under the impression that if you find a plot that you are wanting to hunt, you check your surroundings. If you see that someone else has a stand on this plot, then you need to find an new place to hunt. You are on private land, that means you need to be courteous to others in the area. Same goes for public land. If you notice another hunter in your area, they have the right of way. Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Hope you can kill a big one right in front of him... wouldn't that be something :)

I think I would whip it out and pee on him, he already ruined my hunt. At least then he would have to go back home and wash his clothes.
BOWDUDE

Idiot hunters almost ruined bow hunting for me 5 years ago. It seemed Everywhere I went some idiot would seem to walk in even after seeing my truck parked or sit in a stand across the fenceline and start grunting like a freaking idiot. It's the worst experience to go through and I'll never figure out why people do things like this.

Sounds like you are both hunting right on the property line....things can be dicey when that happens.

Anyway to move your plot farther off the fenceline next year?

I am sure he has permission the land owner on that side let's anybody go. He even gets 50 deperdation tags to give out. I understand why the guy sat there but I've never seen a stand there all summer and fall . Thereafter never been one there before . I already knew for years where the other 5 or 6 stands are at they always get used and I respect them and choose not to sit by them of to plant by them
