This is what I find my self doing during the weekdays, I have been limiting out on these fish as thier coming out of the mountains. I have been fishing the Chatinika River about 20 miles north of Fairbanks. These are whitefish and artic grayling The biggest whitefish was 22" and the biggest grayling was 18". I have been canning them for this long winter. The grayling are being caught on salcha pinks and egg sucking leeches, and the whitefish on a small shiny mepps.

Nice Fish kevin, I catch a few whites in the summer by accident, the big pike love eating them! Have always wanted to catch a grayling, I'd only have to drive a couple hours to do so but never find the time. In fact I'd never spent a minute in my life trying to catch a brook trout until 2 weeks ago, now I'm hooked on them, got this one this past weekend as well, 3 lbs. If anybody can find me a prettier fresh water fish anywhere let me know, I want to catch it!

Now thats a nice lookin fish, well I can't think of a prettier fish but I've caught some nasty looking toad fish in the gulf of mexico and another is the halibot from the gulf of Alaska. Heres a pretty unique saltwater fish that I caught in fresh water. Its a sockeye salmon. Great catch Kaare.
