Another rest question

For those of you who use drop away rests, does cold weather effect them in any way? Is there any lube in the mechanism that can get stiff? How 'bout condensation or even rain freezing them up?

I'm just curious.

Tom,.... the Trophy Taker has no lubed parts to my knowledge.... haven't hunted in extreme cold weather yet with mine, but I have hunted all day in total rain in early season... have shot it several times since with no trouble.

same for the zero effect. never taken it out in bitterly cold weather, but i have been talked into shooting 3d in a few downpours (thanks lshooter) and have never had any trouble

I had no problems with the Trophy Taker last year with temps in the single digits.

Thanks for the info. I use a buscuit and I'm happy with it, but it may be time to take off the trianing wheels, so to speak.
