Anybody ever heard of this?

Auggie and I were hanging a stand the other day and had something happen that I had never seen before. Auggie was drilling a pilot hole in an oak tree for a step when about two quarts of water and sapp came gushing out in his face like someone had turned on a water hose. Needless to say I laughed hard enough to scare any deer away within a half a mile. Auggie was not quite as amused. Has anyone one else ever heard of a pocket of water in a tree like that? Just wondering, and Auggie I'm glad the refreshments got the taste out of your mouth!

I had it happen to me from a cottonwood tree a few years ago. Squirted out past the tree step all evening.....

i was at a spring archery tournament when i was younger. the guy shooting with us hit a tree and when we pulled the arrow out water and sap spurted out. it was pretty cool.
