I just got an e-mail from a friend of mine in southern Arkansas, and he said it was "for real". The e-mail reads, "This buck was found with a broken neck due to running into a fence. It is now at the Texas A&M Vet school, and they are bringing him back to health. The buck is exspected to have a full recovery and have 100% use of his neck." It doesn't say if he was wild or captive.
